Claude LARUELLE Director of Global Enterprises and Chairman of Veolia Nuclear Solutions A graduate of the prestigious École Polytechnique and Ponts et Chaussées civil engineering schools, Claude Laruelle joined the Transportation Ministry in July 1993 as the Deputy Director, and subsequently Director of the Major Works department. From 1998 onward, he worked as a special advisor to the Governor of the Greater Paris Area at the ministry of the Interior for two years.
He joined Veolia in 2000 as an Area manager in the Greater Paris Area and was successively appointed Deputy Director of the North of France region in 2002, Executive Vice-President for North America in September 2004, Director of the Normandy region in September 2006 and Vice-President in charge of operations in Asia-Pacific in January 2010. He became Director of the Group’s Technical and Performance Department in September 2013.
Since 2015, Claude Laruelle has been Director of Global Enterprises. He is a member of the Management Committee and of the Executive Committee at Veolia.
William GALLO Chief Executive Officer (CEO) William Gallo is chief executive officer of Veolia Nuclear Solutions. Gallo joined Kurion in March 2013 and following the merger of Kurion with Veolia he was appointed CEO of Veolia's Nuclear business in April 2016.
He is a notable executive and global leader in the technology-oriented energy field. Prior to joigning Kurion, Mr. Gallo worked with AREVA for 15 years, first developing their US Used Fuel business. Subsequently, he started up and led AREVA Federal Services, as CEO, working closing with the Department of Energy (DOE) at various weapons-complex cleanup sites. Mr. Gallo served eight years as senior vice president of Transnuclear, part of the AREVA Group, where he helped establish the company as the industry leader in used fuel storage, and he led the company into the commercial nuclear decontamination and decommissioning sector.
Prior to Transnuclear, Mr. Gallo served in several DOE positions at Hanford, Wash. for five years, including director of projects for the Westinghouse/Fluor K-Basin project. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of California, at Berkeley.
